OUR ETHOS

At Play Strong, we believe that all kids work and learn best through play.

Our focus is on participation, helping children to build the motor skills and confidence they need to be successful at home, school and sport.

Having a strong body isn’t about running the fastest or lifting a heavy weight – it’s about your body doing what you ask it to do without pain, fatigue or difficulty.  For some kids this may be sitting up with their family to participate in a meal, or keeping their balance on a bush walk.  For others it might mean finishing a sporting season without injury, or keeping up with their siblings in the backyard.

At Play Strong there is no goal too big or too small.  With a little determination, a bit of hard work, and some creative problem solving we can help you reach your potential.

We recognise that for a lot of families, accessing physiotherapy appointments can be a challenge.  You may have other children to juggle, a child who is fearful of unfamiliar spaces, or a child with complex needs who is best seen at home.  Physiotherapy is also about giving each family the tools to implement their own strategies - progress is achieved through moments and memories spread throughout the day, not in a therapy room. Our service primarily sees children in their home or a relevant community setting.
