ABOUT US

Casey Hill (BPHTY, University of Queensland, 2008) has been a physiotherapist for 17 years, and has worked across a wide range of paediatric caseloads within hospital and community settings.  She has previously worked with Mater Health Services and the Queensland Children's Hospital across a number of clinical services including Intensive and Special Care, neurodevelopmental, rehabilitation, respiratory and orthopaedics.  After starting a family of her own, she sought a more diverse and flexible case mix, and has spent the last decade dividing herself between hospital outpatients, university teaching, and community paediatrics.  Play Strong Physiotherapy started in 2016 as a way to provide high quality private services to complex patients who were struggling to find suitable practitioners outside the hospital system, and has grown with the transition of disability services to the NDIS.

Casey manages children with a wide variety of medical and developmental concerns. She understands that every child develops at their own pace and in their own way, and enjoys working with families and their health care teams to identify and meet their goals. She has had the privilege of working with a number of wonderful therapists from all areas of allied health, and is grateful for the amazing opportunities she has had to learn and grow with some of the best in the business.  Casey prides herself on being evidence based, family centred and holistic in her approach to assessment and intervention, and has a particular interest in the assessment of neurodevelopmental concerns, and providing early intervention. Casey continues to have a love of teaching and sharing her knowledge and experience with others, and is privileged to be involved with teaching future physiotherapists at the Australian Catholic University (ACU)

Casey loves children so much she went on to have four of her own, and is well placed to understand the demands of a busy family life.  Casey enjoys putting all her hats on simultaneously, and bringing to the table her love of physiotherapy, her understanding of the challenges of parenting, and her passion for educating and sharing knowledge, to help each family become the expert their child needs.
